The Plymouth Model Flying Club has been based at our model airfield just out Modbury since 1984. We are very proud of our site which is kept in excellent condition and has a very open aspect with glorious views of Dartmoor and the South Hams.

We are a small club with around 25 members. We are affiliated to the BMFA, club 2062.

We do require pilots to either hold an existing, or gain at minimum, the BMFA A accreditation for flying to allow pilots to fly without supervision.

We have a large take off and landing area which is frequently cut. We also have several pit areas available, which we use depending upon the current wind direction, enabling straightforward take-off and landing approaches.

Our field is available for use from 10.0am to dusk, 7 days a week.

We do need to minimise noise levels to avoid any nuisance to farms in the vicinity but have found a sensible approach to flying has been very effective.

We keep a secure container and shed at the field to keep club accessories such as windsock, chairs and the like.
