We have instructors and a BMFA qualified examiner to enable students to take their 'A' tickets. Most of the training involves the use of 'buddy leads' connecting the instructor and student transmitters, this helps to build student confidence, as the instructor retains full control of the model when necessary.
As students progress towards that solo goal, the buddy lead is no longer used, but instructors will stand alongside and offer guidance where required on developing flying ability.
We fly fixed wing aircraft, both IC and electric. We fly a range of models including, trainers, sport and scale including the occasional edf 'jet' and members have a wealth of experience in all of these areas which we love to share.
The models include conventional scratch builds, almost ready to fly (artf) and foam based models. All are welcome.
We do not allow helicopters, turbine models or drones to be flown at the field.
